Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one is not taken from "How to Win Friends and Influence People"...
you should not tell me
how to write you lil' stinky
crud-nasty muffin
--Mixshamus
Haiku number two questions the latest sequel...
Cool Friday comic.
Poignant reality thoughts?
It's just a movie........
--Larry C
Haiku number three taunts us with its Panther-y goodness...
That Apple Store's closed?
Too bad for that mall. 'Round here,
Our store's open. Hah!
--Elizabeth
Haiku number four questions many things about Bloom County...
Berkeley Breathed eh?
What kind of a name is that?
Basselope? Sounds good.
--Sarcasmo
And haiku number five gets Haiku of the Week for having the guts to make a prediction...even if it turned out to be wrong...
KC: 9 and 0
Bengals promise Chiefs first loss
To which I say- HA!
--WonderWoman
