April 16, 2001: Kepler: Will, you'd better come out here. Will: Kepler, I'm kinda busy with-- (the starchild-space fetus from 2001: A Space Odyssey hangs in front of the black monolith) Will: Why is there a giant space fetus in the hallway?! Mitch: Check it out! It's full of stars! April 18, 2001: Kepler: Will, I've been doing some research on the monolith here, and it turns out it's not an interdimensional portal after all! Will: It's not? Then what is it? Kepler: From what I can tell, it's a late '60s attempt at high-definition T.V. Will: A T.V.? Then how do you explain "Glowin' Dave Bowman, Starchild?" Kepler: Apparently, this T.V. was a little overpowered! April 20, 2001: Mitch: So after 30 years of mystery, it turns out the black monolith is just a fancy big screen T.V.? Will: Yep! Mitch: So where is it now? Will: Al said he wanted to take a look at it. (shot of Al sitting in front of the black monolith as if it were a giant big screen TV and he is the man with the blowing scarves and martini glass from that Maxell ad in the '70s.)
