February 14, 2005: Kepler: The mainstream media is called the "fourth estate" because they watch over the three branches of government. Thus, bloggers must be the "fifth estate" because they watch over the MSM. Last year, bloggers brought down Dan Rather. Last week they got CNN's Eason Jordan. Blogs are hot, and I want to be where the power is! Al: How noble of you. Kepler: So, I'e decided to start my own blog page! Al: Thank goodness. How else would I find out about the minutiae in your life?
February 16, 2005: Kepler: Old media is dead, Will. The "fifth estate" of the blogosphere can keep both the government and the media in check. Will: What keeps you in check? Kepler: Nothing! Bloggers are now all-powerful! I have no eidtor! My rants are accepted as fact! My influence knows no bounds! Behold! Computer: Hits today: 16. Will: Ooo... don't spend all that influence in one place.
February 18, 2005: Kepler: To get more traffic on my blog page, I need a spectacular exclusive. That'll require some long hours and hard work! Uh... Or, I could just repeat some crackpot conspiracy theories! Mitch: Plenty of those to spare at the Democratic Underground.
