June 7, 2004: Mitch: Venus is in transit! It's going to block out the sun! We're doomed! Doomed! Kepler: We're not close enought to Venus for it to block out the sn, Mitch. To us, it'll just look like a little spot. Mitch: So we're just a little doomed? Kepler: Maybe a paper-cut's worth.
June 9, 2004: Mitch: I thought that Venus in transit somehow meant we were doomed, but I gues I was wrong. Soda jerk from Twilight Zone episode "Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up?": Doomed? Like, Venusians-colonizing-Earth doomed? Mitch: What?! No! Why would I think that? Soda jerk from Twilight Zone: No reason. Coffee? Mitch: Sure. Hey... weren't there only six people in here before? Soda jerk from Twilight Zone (really from Venus): I'm pretty sure I saw seven.
