Rockwood 2000 Web Site "Open for Business!"
Monday, February 21, 2000
NORMAN, OK--World-famous online cartoon star Will Rockwood unveiled his presidential web site to the world on Monday, calling it his first step on the road to the White House.
Rockwood's campaign manager Al Vanguard said, "The Rockwood 2000 site differs from other presidential web sites not only in the respect that it is completely truthful, but also in that it downloads quickly and efficiently."
Vanguard then asked if a candidate with a $60 million budget can't keep his web site from getting bloated, how is he supposed to pare down the government?
"We're very excited," said Rockwood. "We think we've found a way to get nation-wide publicity without having to take one red cent from China." He added however, that if a Chinese donor was found to be able to donate money through legal means, that the Rockwood 2000 campaign would have no qualms about receiving such a gift.
"What, do I look like I'm stupid?" questioned the candidate. "Go ahead, ask me the name of any world leader."

Tuesday, February 29, 2000
from MacCentral Online Brian Lundmark draws a cartoon called "Rockwood," whose main character, Will Rockwood, is running for president. As part of his platform, he takes a stand that Al Gore was too cowardly to take and backs Macs over PCs, says the cartoonist.
" Yes, I know; I'm shilling for votes, but isn't that what good politicians do?" he asks. Meanwhile, you can check out "Rockwood" at http://rockwood.comichub.com/rockwood2000/platform.html.
